ORAN – Sunday, 26 June (APS) – The Algerian karate player Sylia Ouikene won the first gold medal of the 2022 Mediterranean Games in Oran, beating in the finals of the category of less than 50 kg, the Egyptian Reem Salama (5-0).
This is the first Algerian medal in karate pending the finals of four other Algerian athletes competing this Sunday.
The two bronze medals went to the Moroccan El Hayti Chaima and the Spanish Pinilla Sanchez Alba.
