ISTANBUL – Sunday, 16 October 2022 (APS) – The Algerian tennis player Maria Badache won the gold medal of the J5 Istanbul Tournament (Turkey) on Sunday after defeating in the finals Bulgarian Lidia Encheva, seeded N1, two sets to zero (2-0).
Badache, seeded N4, won the first set 7-5, before winning the second 6-0.
Her compatriot Wissal Boudjemaoui was eliminated on Thursday at the third round when playing against Turkish Irmak Budak 6-2, 6-2.
