ALGIERS – Friday, 19 August 2022 (APS) – Algeria achieved its best harvest of medals at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, disputed from August 9 to 18 in Konya (Turkey), with a total of 42 medals (7 gold, 12 silver, 23 bronze).
Algeria ranked 10th in the medal table dominated by Turkey with 343 medals (145 gold, 107 silver, 89 bronze), ahead of Uzbekistan with a total of 158 (51 gold, 42 silver, 56 bronze) and Iran with 133 medals (39 gold, 44 silver, 50 bronze).
