ALGIERS – Wednesday, 23 February 2022 (APS) – The sixth International pharmaceutical trade show in Algeria (SIPHAL 2022) opened Tuesday in the exhibition centre of Algiers, with the participation of nearly 150 national and international participants.

In an opening ceremony, the minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Abderrahmane Djamel Lotfi Benbahmed, stressed the importance of the event that has become an “unmissable annual event for those working in the field.”

According to the minister, the event sheds light on the synergies between the pharmaceutical industry actors, aiming at promoting the sector in line with the guidelines of the president of the Republic, who had said, in a previous statement, that 2022 would be the year of economic recovery.”

Under the theme “pharmaceutical industry in the service of health,” the 16th SIPHAL, to run until February 26th, is aimed at “showing the efforts made by the sector’s operators in accordance with the authorities’ commitment to build a real pharmaceutical industry covering 70% of domestic needs,” the event’s organizers said.
