ALGIERS – Tuesday, 05 September 2023 (APS) – Instructed by the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, The minister of Foreign Affairs and National community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, will begin a working visit to Turkey on Wednesday, the ministry said Tuesday in a statement.

During the visit, the minister will co-chair with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, the works of the “second session of the Algerian-Turkish Joint Commission on Planning, the statement said.

“The meeting will be attended by an Algerian delegation made up of representatives of 12 ministerial sectors, involved in the implementation of the different bilateral cooperation programmes between Algeria and Turkey,” according to the statement.

The session will also focus on the preparations for the next summit that will bring together, in Algeria soon, the two leaders: Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the occasion of the second session of the High-Level Cooperation Council between the two friendly countries.

During his visit, Attaf will be received by the president of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as the speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmus, the statement concluded.
