ALGIERS – Thursday, 19 October 2023 (APS) – The minister of Culture and Arts, Soraya Mouloudji, has decided to postpone the fourth Mediterranean Film festival of Annaba, which was scheduled for November 3-9, in solidarity with the Palestinian people, the ministry said in a statement.

The festival has been postponed because of the despicable attacks against the Palestinian people in the besieged city of Gaza, and other Palestinian cities and towns, including the bombing by the Zionist army of Al-Ahly Arabi Al-Mamdani Hospital of Gaza.

The event has also been postponed in implementation of an earlier decision to suspend and postpone all festive activities in solidarity with our Palestinian brothers, the statement said.

On Friday, the ministry of Culture and Arts announced in a statement “the suspension of all festive activities until further notice,” in solidarity with the Palestinian people and the families of the martyrs following the deadly attack, by the Zionist entity, against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
