BATNA – Thursday, 11 May 2023 (APS) – The third International Short Film festival Imadghassen opened Wednesday evening at the regional theatre of Batna Salah-Lombarkia in the presence of a large public.
For his part Director of the development of arts and letters at the Ministry of Culture and Arts, Meziane Chedad, praised the Imadghassen festival, which is becoming more and more popular.
The commissioner of the event, Issam Taachit, said for his part the festival works to promote, develop and encourage film activity.
The opening of the festival, which will continue until May 14, was attended by the wali of Batna Mohamed Benmalek, and several national artistic figures including Hicham Mesbah, Sarah Laalama, Mohamed Reghiss as well as guests from several countries including Shoukran Mortaja from Syria and Saoussen Redjemi from Tunisia.
The opening ceremony of the festival organised by “El-Lemssa” cultural cooperative presented the 22 participating films from Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Russia and Algeria as members of the jury.
