ALGIERS – Sunday, 22 October 2023 (APS) – Palestine’s embassy in Algiers expressed Sunday, in a statement, its gratitude to Algeria and highly welcomed the president of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s decision to establish an air bridge for food, medical and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which has been the target of a barbaric Zionist occupation army’s aggression since October 7th.
“The embassy thanks the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and highly welcomes the decision by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to establish an air bridge of food, medical and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip,” the statement said.
President Tebboune’s position “mirrors Algerian people’s traditions and authenticity in their continued and unconditional support to the Palestinian people, at a time when the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, are facing a war of extermination targeting their very existence through massacres committed all day long.”
The statement added that the Palestinian people “are today in dire need of the support of their brothers and friends in this ordeal.”
The Palestinian people “resist bravely and heroically on their own land despite the attempts to expel and displace them,” the statement concluded.
