ALGIERS – Saturday, 10 June 2023 (APS) – Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohamed Abdelhafid Henni, held a meeting in Caracas with Venezuelan Minister of Transport, Ramon Velasquez, with whom he discussed bilateral cooperation, according to a statement issued by the ministry on Friday.
The meeting, which was attended by officials from both countries and the Algerian ambassador to Caracas, took place on the occasion of the 4th session of the Algerian-Venezuelan Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, held on 8 and 9 June, the same source added.
During this meeting, “a number of issues of concern to both parties were discussed,” focusing mainly on “the opening of air routes between the two countries, in particular the opening of an Algiers-Caracas air route, which will have a positive impact on trade between the two countries.”
