CARACAS – Friday, 09 June 2023 (APS) – The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohamed Abdelhafid Henni said Friday from Caracas that he had conveyed the “fraternal greetings” of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune to his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolas Maduro.

“I have come to Venezuela, a brotherly and friendly country, to discuss ways of cooperating on a number of important and strategic issues between the two countries. I would like to thank President Maduro, who received me and to whom I conveyed the fraternal greetings of his brother, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune,” said Henni after the audience granted to him by President Maduro.

Henni also underlined the two countries’ desire to “establish strategic relations at the highest levels, while developing cooperation in the fields of economy, business, and agriculture, under efforts for food security.”

The audience took place on the sidelines of Henni’s participation in the 4th session of the Algeria-Venezuela Joint Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Commercial, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, held on June 8 and 9 in Caracas.
