ALGIERS – Thursday, 29 September 2022 (APS) – Minister of Tourism and Craft Industry Yacine Hamadi held Wednesday talks, in Algiers, with his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Moez Belhassine on ways to strengthen the bilateral relations in various fields, particularly in tourism.

“The talks focused on several issues relating to tourism,” said Hamadi in a statement.

In this regard, Hamadi extended his thanks to the Tunisian Minister of Tourism who accepted the invitation to attend the opening of the  21st International Tourism and Travel Fair, after a two-year shutdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

During this meeting, the two sides assessed the progress of the works agreed upon, in Tunisia, during the 5th session of cooperation between the two countries.

Tunisia, which will be represented by the Tunisian National Tourism Office, tourism operators and partners, “will strongly participate in the Fair in the same way it did before,” added Hamadi, mentioning the cooperation renewal.

For his part, the Tunisian Minister stressed the importance of his country’s participation in the 21st International Tourism and Travel Fair, in order to provide an opportunity for Tunisian operators to meet their Algerian counterparts, in order to strengthen the cooperation relations and exchange experiences in tourism.

He also praised “the good relations linking Algeria and Tunisia at all levels, particularly between the Heads of State of the two countries, emphasizing the need to strengthen and develop them, in particular in terms of training in Tourism, investment and exchange of experiences.”
