ALGIERS – Sunday, 22 October 2023 (APS) – Many aircraft of the People’s National Army forces, loaded with emergency humanitarian aid destined for Gaza Strip, landed in El Arish airport, in Egypt, the Algerian Red Crescent said in a statement.
The CRA supervised, on Sunday at dawn, the loading of aid from the airbase of Boufarik, in Blida. It was delivered through an air bridge, consisting of several aircraft of the People’s National Army air forces, the statement said.
It consists in “60 tons of aid, with six tons of medicine,” the statement said, noting that it also included food, mattresses, and blankets, to be transported from Rafah Terminal to Gaza.
This operation has been carried out in coordination between the CRA and the Palestinian Red Crescent.
This emergency aid sent on the instruction of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, mirrors “Algeria’s unconditional and unlimited solidarity, leadership and people, with the brotherly Palestinian people, victims of an ongoing aggression, particularly in Gaza Strip, committed by the Zionist occupation forces amid a total and unfair blockade,” the presidency of the Republic said Saturday in a statement.
