ALGIERS – Monday, 24 July 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defence, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent on Monday a message of condolence to the families of the civilian and military victims of the forest fires in some of the country’s provinces.
“It is with great sorrow and a heart resigned to the will of Almighty God that I have learned the tragic news of the deaths of civilians and members of the People’s National Army (ANP), following the forest fires that broke out in some of the country’s provinces,” wrote the President of the Republic.
“While sharing the sadness and grief of the families of the victims and those injured, I pray to Almighty God to grant the deceased His holy mercy and to welcome them into His vast paradise alongside those He has blessed with His benefits, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. May God grant us all patience and comfort,” added the President of the Republic in his message of condolence.
“In this painful ordeal, I offer my sincere condolences and deep feelings of compassion to the families of the victims, assuring them of the absolute solidarity of the State… To God we belong, to Him we return.”
