ALGIERS – Tuesday, 21 March 2023 (APS) – The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, has received a phone call from his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, who congratulated him on his appointment as head of Algerian diplomacy, the ministry said Monday in a statement.
“The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf has received a phone call from his brother, the minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, who congratulated him on his appointment, by the president of the Republic, as head of the Algerian diplomacy, wishing him every success in the exercise of his duties,” the statement said.
The two ministers discussed the evolution of Algerian-Emirati relations, stressing the keen interest of the leaders of the two countries in strengthening and enriching bilateral cooperation in the economic field and enhancing political consultation on issues of common interest, especially those related to joint Arab action,” the statement concluded.
