ZURICH – Thursday, 20 July 2023 (APS) – The Algerian national soccer team kept its 33rd position in the FIFA world rankings published on Thursday by the international sports organization on its official website.
As for Africa, the Algerian national team’s ranking has not changed since the last FIFA ranking and remains in 4th place.
In the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, the Algerian national team will play in Group G alongside Guinea, Uganda, Mozambique, Botswana and Somalia.
At the top of the world rankings, Argentina, 2022 world champions in Qatar, still tops the ranking, ahead of France, runner-up in 2022, and Brazil, now in 3rd place ahead of England (4th) and Belgium (5th).
There have been no changes to the world’s top 10 since the last ranking was published in June.
