ALGIERS – Wednesday, 26 July 2023 (APS) – The minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning, Brahim Merad, discussed in a phone conversation with his Tunisian counterpart, Kamel Feki, the ways and means to enhance cooperation between the two sister countries in firefighting, the ministry said in a statement.
Merad had a phone conversation with his Tunisian counterpart, Kamel Feki, who expressed his condolences for the victims of the fires recorded in some provinces, the ministry said.
During the phone conversation, Merad inquired about “the situation following the fires that broke out in some regions of Tunisia,” the statement said.
The two sides discussed “the ways and means to strengthen cooperation between the two brother countries in firefighting, mainly by joining efforts in terms of response and rescue, especially in the common border areas,” the statement concluded.
