ALGIERS – Tuesday, 28 March 2023 (APS) – The minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received Tuesday, in Algiers, the director general of the French energy group ENGIE, Isabelle Kocher, with whom he discussed the opportunities for collaboration and the state of the international gas market, the ministry said in a statement.
The two sides examined relations between ENGIE and Sonatrach in the gas field as well as the prospects for collaboration between the two groups, the statement said.
The two officials “also tackled the current state of the international natural gas market and its evolution, business opportunities and the future investment prospects in green electricity exports, new and renewable energies, mainly the development of hydrogen and the building of facilities for electricity production by photovoltaic panels,” in addition to other topics relating to the new technologies and training.”
