ALGIERS – Saturday, 05 November 2022 (APS) – The minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, took part Friday in the 43rd ordinary session of the Council of Ministers of the African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO), held via video link, the ministry of Trade said in a statement.

The session chaired by the head of the Organization, Diamantino Pedro Azevedo, Angola’s minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, was devoted to the future of oil and gas industry in Africa, in the light of energy transition, the statement said.

Algeria, like the other member countries, welcomed three new full members of the APPO, namely Ghana, Namibia and Senegal, bringing the number of members from 15 to 18 countries.
