ALGIERS – Tuesday, 12 September 2023 (APS) – The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, ordered Tuesday to create a Solidarity Fund, under the national solidarity sector, to exclusively deal with school support, stressing that the education allowance must be paid at least one month before the back to school day, from next year, according to the Council of Ministers’ statement.
The president of the Republic, who chaired a meeting of the Council of the Ministers, emphasized “the State’s permanent support to low-income families,” giving instructions for the “creation of a solidarity fund to be supervised by the sector of national solidarity, and which will exclusively deal with school support, especially the education allowance, to which the state attaches a paramount importance, being one of the pillars of the social aspect of the State.”
In the same respect, the president of the Republic underlined the need to “pay the education allowance at least one month before the back to school day, from next year,” the statement said.
