DJELFA – Sunday, 21 May 2023 (APS) – Algerian olive oil “Dahbia” produced in Ain Ouessara (Djelfa) has won a new gold medal at the International Olive Oil Competition whose results were announced last week in Geneva (Switzerland), the owner of this brand Hakim Aliliche said on Saturday.
This new award is added to the other five gold medals won by the brand “Dahbia” in interantional competitions organized, in the last few years, in Tokyo (Japan), Berlin (Germany), Italy and two times in a row in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), “a fact which strengthened its position on the international market of olive oil,” said the brand’s owner.
He stressed that the results of every competition to which his brand has participated are subject to “a number of requirements, laboratory testing and experts’ reports of several nationalities that require the participation of a very high quality product meeting international standards.”
The olive oil “Dahbia” has also won this year four silver medals in Tokyo (Japan), Oslo (Norway), Turkey and Athens (Greece), said Aliliche.
This agricultural investor, who was honoured by President of the Republic Abdelmadjdi Tebboune, in a national conference on agriculture in February, that these awards have always “encouraged him to promote the Algerian olive oil globally.”
