ALGIERS – Wednesday, 15 November 2023 (APS) – The General Directorate of National Police (DGSN) and the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption signed a framework agreement on Wednesday for an exchange of expertise in the prevention and fight against corruption, according to a DGSN press release.

The agreement was signed at DGSN headquarters by the Director General of the National Police, Farid Bencheikh, and the President of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption, Salima Mousserati.

On this occasion, Bencheikh expressed “the permanent readiness of the police services to support the efforts of the Authority through their expertise in terms of inquiries and investigations to reinforce the national action plan to combat corruption.”

For her part, Mousserati welcomed the “establishment of this operational mechanism as it allows the exchange of expertise with the National Police, being a law enforcement authority and one of the essential mechanisms for preventing and combating corruption.”
