ALGIERS – Friday, 30 December 2022 (APS) – The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent Friday a message of condolences to the President of Brazil, Lula da Silva, following the death of the soccer legend, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pele, in which he said he was deeply saddened by the death of the world icon, the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
“On his behalf and on behalf of the Algerian people, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent Friday a message of condolences to the President of Brazil, Lula da Silva, following the death of the soccer legend, Edson Arantes do Nascimento “Pele”, in which he said he was deeply saddened by the death of the worthy son of the Brazilian people, the global icon who has nurtured in the people the passion of football.
