ALGIERS – Monday, 07 August 2023 (APS) – President of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil, presented his condolences on behalf of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the headquarters of the Côte d’Ivoire embassy in Algiers, following the death of former president of Côte d’Ivoire, Henri Konan Bédié.
“It is with great sadness that Algeria has learned of the death of Henri Konan Bédié, former president of Côte d’Ivoire, who passed away on 1 August.
On this sad occasion, on behalf of the President of the Republic and the Algerian people, and on my own behalf, I would like to extend our most sincere condolences and our deepest sympathy,” wrote Goudjil on the register of condolences.
“We share the pain of the family of the deceased and of all the Ivorian people, in the hope that through these sincere and fraternal condolences they will find the strength and courage to overcome this painful ordeal,” according to the message.
