ALGIERS – Saturday, 23 September 2023 (APS) – The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Saturday sent a message of condolence to his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, following the death of former president of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano.
“Your Excellency, Mr. President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, it was with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing away of the former president of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano,” the president of the Republic wrote.
“In this painful circumstance, I offer my sincere condolences to you, Your Excellency, to the family of the deceased and to the friendly Italian people, and express my deep sympathy to you,” the message of condolence said.
“Your Excellency, Mr. President, please accept my deep feelings of consideration and respect.”
