ALGIERS – Tuesday, 29 November 2022 (APS) – The first Cycling Tour of Ghardaia will be held in four stages in this southern Algerian province on December 8-11, the event’s organizers said Tuesday.
The first stage, scheduled for December 8th, is a team time trial event in which “the juniors will compete over a distance of 28 kilometres while the seniors will make 42,” the Algerian Cycling Federation said in a statement posted on its official website.
The second stage, to take place on December 9th, is a 113-km road race between El Guerrara and Ghardaia.
“The third stage, on December 10th, is also a road race, but longer as it will be run over 167 kilometres, between Ghardaia and El Guerrara,” the statement said.
The fourth stage is a time trial event that will take place on December 11th.
The 14-km time trial event will bring together junior and senior cyclists, according to the statement.
