ALGIERS – Saturday, 26 August 2023 (APS) – Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo on Saturday hailed the important role of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his commendable efforts to contribute effectively to ending the crisis in Niger.
Receiving in audience the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, who arrived in Accra at the end of the tour entrusted to him by the President of the Republic, the Ghanaian President hailed “the important role” of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and “his commendable efforts to contribute effectively to addressing the crisis in Niger,” said a Ministry statement.
On this occasion, Attaf conveyed to the President of the Republic of Ghana “the greetings of his brother President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as well as a message from His Excellency concerning the crisis in Niger and the prospects for intensifying and unifying efforts to promote the foundations of a peaceful settlement that would spare this country and the countries of the region the impact of a possible escalation of the situation.”
Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo asked Attaf to convey “his greetings and encouragement to his brother President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.”
