ALGIERS – Wednesday, 01 November 2023 (APS) – The chairman of the National, Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE) Sidi Mohammed Bouchenak Khelladi and his counterpart, the head of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation Lydia Mikheeva signed Tuesday, in Moscow (Russia), a memorandum of understanding to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two institutions and raise it to the level of the relations between the two countries, the CNESE said in a statement.
The inking of this memorandum was held on the sidelines of the participation of Bouchenak Khelladi in the works of the General Assembly of the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS), held from 30 October to 2 November, added the source.
In a statement made on this occasion, CENSE’s head said that “this memorandum is part of the implementation of the Algerian-Russian Strategic Partnership Declaration, signed on 15 June 2023 in Moscow.”
By virtue of this memorandum, CENSE and the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation agreed to establish bilateral and multilateral cooperation relations in fields of common interest, notably via the strengthening of the exchange of expertise and the launch of programs aimed to consolidate the potential of their members and employees, added the source.
