ALGIERS – Tuesday, 03 October 2023 (APS) – Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Said Chanegriha, chaired on Tuesday at the Exhibition Centre, in Algiers, the opening of the VIP Day of the exercise “Chemex-Africa” intended for the States parties to the Convention of the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons for Africa.
The event’s opening ceremony, organized under the patronage of the President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of the National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was held in the presence of Prime Minister Aïmene Benabderrahmane, Director General of the Organization for the Prohibition of the Chemical Weapons, ambassador Fernando Arias Gonzalez, Deputy Director General of the Organization, ambassador Odette Melono, as well as ministers and heads of diplomatic delegations accredited in Algeria of the participating countries, and high-level representatives coming under African bodies.
