ORAN (Algeria) – Tuesday, 31 January 2023 (APS) – Algeria’s national team qualified Tuesday for the final of the Africa Cup of Nations (CHAN 2022), a tournament featuring African footballers playing in their respective National League clubs (January 13 – February 4), by dominating Niger 5-0 (first half: 4-0) at the Miloud-Hadefi Stadium of Oran.

The goals that have allowed Algeria to make it for a CHAN final for the first time in its history were scored by Abdellaoui (15th minute), Mahious (23th, 34th), Boureyma Abdoulay Katkore (45th) and Sofiane Bayazid (83th).

By scoring two goals in Tuesday’s game, Aymen Mahious topped the list of the strikers of the CHAN 2022, with five goals.

In the final, scheduled for Saturday (20:30 local time) at Nelson-Mandela Stadium of Baraki, Algiers, Algeria will play the winner of the second semi-final between Senegal and Madagascar, Tuesday evening.
