BECHAR – Thursday, 28 September 2023 (APS) – Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs Youcef Belmehdi chaired Wednesday evening, in Bechar, the official ceremony celebrating Mawlid Ennabaoui Echarif, (the birthday of the prophet peace be upon him), at the mosque “Imam Nafii Ibn Abderrahmane.”
The minister, accompanied by the local authorities and citizens, performed the prayer of el Maghreb followed by a religious evening gathering characterized by the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran and religious songs performed by the local troupe Achwak.
The Imam of the mosque, Aissa Zakaria, emphasized the importance of this religious event, namely the birth of the Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him), and the spiritual benefits of celebrating his birth, which constitute a commitment of the believers to his message and to the Muslim religion.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) succeeded in spreading the high human values of Islam, of tolerance, justice and co-existence between the peoples and religions for a prosperous life based on peace.
