ALGIERS – Monday, 16 October 2023 (APS) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf received Monday, at the headquarters of the ministry, his Chadian counterpart Mahamat Saleh Annadif who is in Algeria as part of his participation in the 20th Ministerial Meeting of African Countries-Nordic Countries, whose works kicked off on Monday, the ministry said in a statement.

The two sides “agreed to strengthen the relations between Algeria and Chad, notably thanks to the organization of the next joint cooperation committee, in early 2024, and the intensification of contacts between the economic operators of the two countries to seized the opportunities offered by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),” said the source.

The two sides exchanged views and analyses on the serious situation in Palestine and the recent developments in the Sahel-Sahara region, added the source.
