ALGIERS – Tuesday, 17 October 2023 (APS) – The minister of foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received Tuesday in Algiers his Angolan counterpart, Titi Antoni, prior to the opening of the Nordic-African Foreign Ministers meeting, the ministry said in a statement.

“The meeting is an opportunity to review the bilateral relations and prepare for the next meetings, as an exchange of visits at the highest level is planned, in addition to the next session of the joint cooperation commission between the two countries,” the statement said.

The discussions focused on “the difficult situation the Palestinian cause is going through and the prospects of restoring the international and regional interest in the cause to revive the peace process and guarantee Palestinian people’s national legitimate rights.”

The two ministers tackled the political and security developments at the continental level, in the light of the efforts made by the two countries to restore security and stability and find peaceful solutions to crises, mainly in Mali, Niger, Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
