ALGIERS – Sunday, 24 September 2023 (APS) – The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, at the end of his participation in the works of the ministerial segment of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, held bilateral discussions with the chairman of the African Union (AU) Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, and received the AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security, Bankole Adeoye, the ministry said Sunday in a statement.
The two meetings focused on “the bilateral relations between Algeria and the African Union in various fields, and the exchange of views on the development of the political and security situation in the continent, especially in the Sahel region,” the statement concluded.
