ALGIERS – Saturday, 13 May 2023 (APS) – The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, on Saturday had a phone conversation with his Syrian counterpart, Faisal Mekdad, “at the initiative of the latter,” the ministry said in a statement.
The phone conversation, which came following “the phone call between the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother President Bashar al-Assad of Syria on May 8th, was an opportunity for the two ministers to continue consultations on the main issues to be on the agenda of the next Arab League Summit scheduled for May 19th, in Jeddah,” the statement said.
