ALGIERS – Wednesday, 22 March 2023 (APS) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, and his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukri agreed, during a telephone conversation, to continue their efforts to boost bilateral cooperation mechanisms, said Wednesday the Ministry in a statement.

“The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf received a phone call from his brother, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukri who congratulated him on his appointment by the President of the Republic as FM, wishing him success and success in his mission,” said the statement.

On this occasion, Attaf and Shoukri discussed “the relations of brotherhood and cooperation uniting the two countries and ways to promote them to broader perspectives. They also exchanged views on issues of common interest at both regional and international levels, including those related to the Arab region and its central issue, the Palestinian cause.”

“The two FMs agreed to continue efforts to boost the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation, consolidate the consultation and coordination between the two countries on all levels in order to meet the aspirations of their two brotherly peoples and to the best of their common interests,” said the source.
