ALGIERS – Wednesday, 29 November 2023 (APS) – Army General Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), received Wednesday the Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, Dmitri Shugaev, according to a press release from the Ministry of National Defense (MDN).
“The Army General, Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), received in audience Wednesday at the Staff headquarters, Dmitri Shugaev, the Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, on the sidelines of the 21st session of the Algeria-Russia Intergovernmental Joint Commission for Military and Technical Cooperation held on 25-29 November 2023,” said the source.
The meeting, attended by general officers from the Ministry of National Defence and the Staff of the Army, “was an opportunity for the two sides to discuss military cooperation and the ways to extend it to the fields of common interest.”
At the end of the meeting, the two officials “exchanged symbolic gifts,” said the source.
