ALGIERS – Tuesday, 19 September 2023 (APS) – The minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received on Monday UK Trade Commissioner for Africa, John Humphrey, with whom he discussed ways and means to strengthen relations of cooperation and partnership in energy and mines, the ministry said in a statement.
The meeting took place at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the United Kingdom’s ambassador to Algeria and officials from the Energy and Mines ministry, the statement said.
The two sides discussed “the ways and means to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two countries in the fields of energy and mines, especially renewable energies, such as the production of solar and wind energy, their integration to the network and transport to remote areas and farms, in addition to training and local manufacture of energy equipment.”
