ALGIERS – Monday, 31 July 2023 (APS) – Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab is paying, as from Monday, a three-day working visit to Zimbabwe, as part of the consolidation of the bilateral cooperation in various fields, the ministry said in a statement.
“Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab will pay, on the instruction of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as from Monday 31 July 2023, a three-day working visit to Zimbabwe, leading a large delegation, comprising the CEOs of Sonatrach, Sonelgaz, Sonarem and Naftal, as well as the officials of the sector and of the Ministry of Energy and Mines,” said the source.
This visit comes within the framework of “the strengthening of cooperation between Algeria and Zimbabwe in energy and mines, notably hydrocarbons, oil products and electricity as well as various fields of common interest,” said the source.
The minister will hold, during this visit, working sessions with his counterparts, the minister of Energy, minister of Mines and Mining Development, as well as meetings with other Zimbabwean officials, said the source.
