ALGIERS – Wednesday, 05 October 2022 (APS) – Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab received Tuesday, in Algiers, a delegation from Mauritania’s energy sector, with whom he discussed cooperation in energy and mines, the ministry said in a statement.
The discussions, attended by the head of the Electricity and Gas Regulatory Commission, comes “as part of the bilateral cooperation and the strengthening and promotion of cooperation between Algeria and Mauritania in
energy and mines, and mainly in electricity production, transport and transformation on the one hand, and in terms of the electricity sector’s reforms undertaken by Mauritania on the other hand,” the statement said.
The Mauritanian delegation, on a visit to Algeria from 3 to 6 October, wants to benefit from Algeria’s experience and know-how, the ministry added.
