ORAN – Sunday, 24 July 2022 (APS) – The Algerian swimming team (men) harvested, on the fourth and last day of these championships which wrapped up Saturday evening in Oran, 11 medals, including four gold, finishing second behind Egypt.

 

The last event of these championships, devoted to the 4X100m freestyle, was decisive for the Egyptians, winners of 10 gold medals against 9 for the Algerians who were unable to be in the lead despite the three gold medals harvested on this last day.

For its part, the Egyptian female team won 13 gold medals against 5 for Algeria.

Egypt is in the lead with 23 gold medals, 14 silver and 9 bronze, followed by Algeria with 14 gold medals, 18 silver and 13 bronze.

Tunisia finished 3rd with 1 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals.
