CAIRO (Egypt) – Sunday, 07 August 2022 (APS) – Algerian men’s junior boxers have won ten medals (2 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze) at the Arab championships that wrapped up Saturday, at Al-Maadi Olympic Complex in Cairo, Egypt.

 

Algeria’s two gold medals were grabbed by Kaidi Mohamed-Fouad(51kg), who beat Moroccan Ouali Mounir in a final, while his teammate Kanony Oussama (80 kg) won his final against Egyptian Mahmoud Ahmed Salem.

Other Boshakra Moatez (57 kg), Manhory Cherif (67 kg), Garib Ahmed(71kg), Khalef Lakhdar Sifedinne (85kg), Rabash Baraa (92kg) and Maktaa

Abdelrahim (+92 kg), got silver medals.

In the general team rankings, the Algerian team ranked second behind Egypt, which got 12 medals.

Eight Algerian boxers qualified for the final of the men’s Arab championships.
