ALGIERS – Monday, 17 July 2023 (APS) – Vice-President of the People’s National Assembly (APN), Monder Bouden, reiterated on Sunday in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) Algeria’s constant attachment to Islamic causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, and to joint Islamic action, according to a communiqué issued by the parliamentary institution.
“Bouden attended an official lunch in Abidjan, hosted by President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Ivory Coast, in honour of the members of the Presidential Troika of the Parliamentary Union of Member States of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (UPCI), which includes Algeria, Turkey and Ivory Coast, in the presence of the Union’s Secretary General, Mohamed Khouraichi Niass,” according to the source.
During the meeting, Bouden conveyed to the participants “the greetings of President of the Peoples National Assembly (APN), Brahim Boughali, while wishing success in the work of the 49th meeting of the UPCI Executive Committee,” ccording to the same source.
He further reiterated “Algeria’s constant attachment to Islamic causes, especially the Palestinian cause, which is central to the Muslim nation, and its willingness to support the mechanisms of joint Islamic action.”
