ALGIERS – Wednesday, 29 November 2023 (APS) – Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production Ali Aoun received Tuesday, in Algiers, a delegation of Sanofi laboratories officials, with a view to examining the developments in these laboratories in terms of the projects of local production of medicines, the ministry said in a statement.
The meeting was held at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the Vice-President of Sanofi Laboratories, Marc-Antoine Lucchini, the Director General of Sanofi Company in Algeria, Eduardo Arce Parellada, the Director of Public and Economic Affairs of Sanofi Laboratories, Amine Aissaoui.
Talks focused on the novelties in Sanofi laboratories in terms of the projects of local production of medicines, the statement said.
Following the presentations delivered by Sanofi, which is working to expand and diversify the manufactured pharmaceutical products, along with expanding its partnership with the Group of SAIDAL to launch vaccine production, the minister ordered “to speed up the signing of the agreement by the end of December and to launch production immediately.”
In this regard, the minister stressed “the need to respect the set deadlines and work to further develop products for diabetics.”
