ALGIERS – Monday, 12 June 2023 (APS) – Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani, called on all partners to contribute to the success of the 15th Arab Sports Games, which will be held in Algeria from 5 to 15 July, and to promote Algeria’s image and its great potential in mutliple fields, including sport.
In a speech at the opening of a training session on institutional communication and organisational coordination techniques, with the participation of Ministries of Youth and Sports, and Higher Education and Scientific Research, Bouslimani said that “this intersectoral activity is part of the communication policy aimed at highlighting Algeria’s role in the world of youth and sport.”
The Minister recalled the importance attached by the communication sector to human resources training “in order to improve the performance of the press and information and to develop a professional press, in particular to combat fake news and disinformation, which are among the hostile campaigns being waged through the various media.”
He also praised the State’s achievements in terms of new infrastructures that meet international standards and the perfect organization of major events such as the Mediterranean Games, the African championship for local teams and the African U17 football cup.
