BEIJING – Sunday, 16 July 2023 (APS) – The Arab parties participating in the Conference of the Chinese Communist Party (PCC) emphasized Algeria’s unwavering role vis-à-vis the Palestinian cause, pointing out the organization last October of the conference for the “Unification of Palestinian ranks,” under the patronage of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

   The Arab parties and forces expressed their “appreciation to the brotherly country Algeria for its crucial role when hosting the last meeting of the Palestinian factions,” in October 2022, culminating in the signing by 14 Palestinian factions of “the Declaration of Algiers” in order to end the domestic division, said a statement at the end of the meeting of the 4th session of the Dialogue Conference, held on Saturday, in the Chinese city of Yinchuan, bringing together CPC and parties from several Arab countries.

The works of “the unification conference for the Palestinian Unity,” held in Algeria from 11 to 13 October 2022, under the patronage of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, culminated in the signing of “the Declaration of Algiers” which ended the division and becomes a solid platform to achieve unity between the different Palestinian factions.

In the Declaration of Algiers, the emphasis was placed on the importance of the Palestinian national unity as a solid ground to face the Zionist occupation, and to achieve the legitimate objectives of the Palestinian people.

This initiative was welcomed by both the Palestinians and at the international level, in the sense that the Palestinian factions described it as “a major triumph for the Palestinian cause,” hailing the efforts and role of Algeria and of President Tebboune to reunify the Palestinian ranks.

The Arab parties and forces reaffirmed their full principled commitment to the Palestinian rights to decolonization, the establishment of the State of Palestine with al-Quds as capital, and the return of refugees, in accordance with the UN resolution 194.
