ALGIERS – Monday, 03 July 2023 (APS) – The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, chaired Monday, in Algiers, the opening of the second Algerian-Italian Strategic Dialogue meeting on bilateral relations and global political and security issues.
The meeting is being held at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the secretary general of the Algerian ministry of foreign Affairs, Lounès Magramane, and his Italian counterpart, Riccardo Guariglia, in addition to the delegations of the two countries.
In an opening address, Attaf said that 2022 was a “year loaded with very positive and satisfying indicators for both sides, as it enhanced their common desire to carry on their efforts to achieve all the strategic objectives set by Algerian and Italian higher authorities.”
Relations between Algeria and Italy today “are in full swing, with their new achievements that are likely to strengthen the strategic partnership between them.”
The minister added that the two countries “are fully committed” to the bilateral “treaty of friendship, neighborliness and cooperation, the 20th anniversary of which we have celebrated early this year.”
