KONYA – Wednesday, 10 August 2022 (APS) – Prime Minister Aimene Benabderrahmane said, Wednesday in Konya (Turkey), that the “Algerian-Turkish relations were developing in accordance with the instructions of the two countries’ presidents.”

 

“I am honored to have represented President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune at the opening of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games,” said Benabderrahmane in a statement to the press on the sidelines of his participation in the opening ceremony of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya.

“This participation stems from the strong Algerian-Turkish relations,” he added, stressing the importance of this event in “achieving solidarity between Muslim countries.”

“I had the honor to meet President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as part of the implementation the decisions of both presidents during the recent visit of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune in Turkey,” added the Prime Minister.

Benabderrahmane stressed, in this regard, that he “has conveyed to the President of the Turkish Republic the greetings of his brother President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune as well as his will to move towards new perspectives in terms of Algerian-Turkish relations, which are currently undergoing major development in accordance with the guidelines of the Presidents of the two countries.”

The prime minister said that he discussed during this meeting “several issues essentially linked to the economy and investments,” in order to achieve new perspectives in terms of economic and commercial relations between the two countries.”
