GENEVA – Monday, 07 March 2022 (APS) – Algeria is taking part in the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly, held from 1 to 9 March, at the headquarters of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in Geneva, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication said Monday in a statement.

 

Algeria is represented in this Assembly by “a large technical delegation made up of representatives of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the Regulatory Authority of Post and Electronic Communications (ARPCE) and of the public operator Algerie Telecom.”

The Algerian delegation participated previously in the International Conference on Standardization held on 28 February in Geneva under the slogan “international standards to enable the digital transformation and achieve sustainable development goals,” added the source.

The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly, held every four years, defines ITU’s activities for the next study period.
