ALGIERS – Tuesday, 01 November 2022 (APS) – Algeria, represented by President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has taken over the presidency of the 31st Arab Summit at the opening of works of this event which is taking place at the International Center of Conferences (CIC), in Algiers.
President Tebboune took over the presidency of the Summit from his Tunisian counterpart Kais Saied, whose country chaired the 30th session in 2019.
The Summit’s works are held with the participation of leaders and heads of Arab delegations, as well as guests of honor, notably UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, current Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Macky Sall, and current Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Ilham Aliyev.
