ALGIERS – Monday, 22 August 2022 (APS) – Algeria strongly condemned the terrorist attack carried out in Mogadishu which caused several victims among civilians at Hayat hotel in the Somali capital, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad on Monday.
“Algeria strongly condemns the terrorist attack carried out in Mogadishu which caused several victims civilians in Hayat hotel in the Somali capital which was targeted by this reprehensible act,” said the source.
“Algeria presents its sincere condolences, in this painful ordeal, to the families of the victims as well as its wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured,” added the same source.
“While reassuring the brotherly Somali government and people of its full solidarity and firm support in their fight against terrorism, Algeria reiterates its support at the national and international levels to prevent and eliminate this scourge whose accelerated spread in Africa represents a direct threat to collective peace and security as well as a major obstacle to the development of the continent,” concluded the source.
